Spring Into Watercolors!
Here is one of my students that I teach private art lessons to at my job. This was a six week lesson on watercolors. I started off by teaching her the basic watercolor techniques (wash, wet on wet, wet on dry, dry bush, etc.). I then set up a simple still life with a white sphere, a white cylinder, and a white cube and had her practice painting shade and light with the watercolors. Once we graduated from that we moved on to creating a still life with flowers in a vase. This was her first time experimenting with watercolors and she was very absorbent( no pun intended!) to all the information I was trying to teach her within these six weeks. I am incredibly proud of her and how her final piece came out.
