Op Art!

What is Op Art? Op Art is a style of art that uses optical illusions. They are known for giving the viewer a sense of movement, hidden images, or vibrations. I decided to give a whirl at creating an Op art inspired piece and pictured above is what I came up with in Photoshop. I tried to create movement in my piece by using the gradient tool on each line and reversing the gradient every other eight lines. This would be a fun lesson to have students try and make their own Op art pieces. It does not necessarily have to be done in Photoshop but would definitely help make the illusion more cleaner.
